Unconditional Love -1st Grade Leads Chapel
Mrs. Smith’s first grade class was able to present their chapel on Friday this week instead of Wednesday, due to the weather.
The students were transformed into scientists who studied the meaning of unconditional love. One scientist invented a robot called “Unconditional Love” that no matter what you did would always responded with “I – LOVE – YOU.”
The rest of the scientist put him to the test by seeing how far his “love” would last. They asked him to take out the trash, clean their rooms, do their homework, and even clean up after the dog. The robot’s only reply was “I – LOVE – YOU.”
Finally, they really put him to the test and asked him to be their friend, listen to them, and pray for them in a time of need. They even compared him to God, who loves us so much that he sent His son to die for us.
After this test, everyone agreed that just because the robot can always say “I – LOVE – YOU,” does not mean that it is unconditional love. The class reminded us of times in scripture where God tells us how much he loves us…unconditionally.
Our first grade scientists taught us all to remember just how much God loves us and always will, no matter what.
