The trigonometry students at Brook Hill were asked to find the height of the flagpole in the quadrangle this week. By measuring the angles of elevation to the flagpole of two points collinear to the flagpole and by measuring the distance between the two points, students were able to solve the problem.  Adding a layer of difficulty, students were not allowed to find the distance from a point to the flagpole.  Students completed the measurements as a group. However, the solution involving two trigonometric equations in two unknowns, will be completed by the students individually.
