Amanda Wade is a Texas native who moved back home in 2021 after spending 20 years in Los Angeles. She and her husband of 23 years, Thomas, felt led to return to Texas to raise their two children in a Christ-centered community and to be closer to family. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the University of Southern California and brings over 15 years of experience teaching and directing students in musicals, One Act Plays, fine arts showcases and summer workshops. Amanda has worked in a wide variety of schools-both public and private-and also led theater programs in inner-city communities, where she loved helping students find their voice and build confidence through the performing arts. Now, she is excited to invest in students at Brook Hill, encouraging them to grow in their God-given gifts and discover who God created them to be-on and off the stage. Amanda is passionate about creating a supportive environment where students feel empowered to take creative risks, develop their talents, and learn to lead with humility and boldness. Her favorite verse, Proverbs 3:5-6, guides both her personal life and her work as a teacher: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Outside of the classroom, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, being outdoors, and soaking up the everyday moments.
