Kindergarten Leads Chapel: From Ordinary to Extraordinary

On Wednesday, our Kindergarten students lead chapel, teaching all of us about the power of God to use the mundane and ordinary for his mighty purposes.
Ìý
Three trees grew up strong and tall in the woods. One wanted to be a treasure chest, another a mighty boat, and the third to be the tallest tree and admired by all.
Ìý
The three trees were disappointed when they were first cut down and crafted into a manger, a small boat, and a pile of wood. But all three found that the mundane and ordinary purpose for which they had been made became extraordinary.
Ìý
That smelly manger held the greatest treasure of all, Jesus Christ, on the night he was born. That tiny boat carried Jesus and his disciples across the sea of Galilee and saw Jesus calm the storm. That pile of wood became the cross of Christ, who took away the sins of the world.
Ìý
May God transform the mundane and ordinary in your life into the extraordinary beauty of his Kingdom – and may he give you the vision and patience to see these things in your life.
