Hill Country Hiking
Our 6th grade SPARC trip, Hill Country Hiking, included a stop at the Waco Mammoth Site where students were able to dig for fossils as well as see the site where many Colombian Mammoth were uncovered and left for all to see. On the second day students participated in archery, a nature hike, a weather station and a soil experiment. Then, on Wednesday, hiking up Enchanted Rock and climbing through caves was on the schedule. On the last day, students hiked around a collapsed cave at Hamilton Pool and then ended their time with an intense game of paintball and fishing! It was a great trip for our students and allowed them to not only have a rich experience, but also learn about nature, geology, and fossils.
