Fine Arts Department Announces 2016 Spring Musical
The Fine Arts Department is very pleased and excited to announce its choice of literature for the 2016 spring musical will be the ever-popular and award-winning Fiddler on the Roof. Following the record-breaking success of the 2015 production of Mary Poppins, Director Glenn Ballard said, “We have carefully considered the students that we believe will figure prominently in next year’s production and ‘Fiddler’ gives us a very good fit for this group of performers. ‘Fiddler’ has won many Tony Awards on Broadway, Olivier Awards, and the movie won several Oscar Awards, and is a perennial crowd-pleasing show. It has phenomenal music, a great story, and some of the most entertaining characters ever to appear on stage.”
More information will be made available to students in August when the new school year gets under way, but until then actors can begin the process of preparation by watching the 1971 movie version, by listening to the sound-track, or by visiting with Mr. Ballard or Mrs. Eden.
