Piñata Party

After dinner on Tuesday, our boarding students had the chance to experience Mexican culture by hitting piñatas in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. For many it was their first time to take a swing, and they loved competing for candy as it fell to the ground.                  

iJump and the Movies

At first they experimented by focusing light from a window onto the screen, and found that the resulting image was upside down and smaller than the original object. Reversible Chemical Reactions

April 30, 2015

Chemistry students are learning about reversible chemical reactions in the lab this week by using a color-changing reaction. This lab helps students visualize whether the chemical reaction was going forward or backward. Students added different substances to the reaction and then adjusted the temperature in order to gather data, observe changes, and make predictions.
