The End of a Good One

May 20, 2015

By Parker Clark, ’16: Every year, at the beginning of the school year, we pray for a great year. I also pray for a fast year because no one wants to have a year that drags by. This year was easily the best year I have ever had in school. I was new to Brook […]

Our Middle School football team, along with coaches, went to BCXR, a horse stable, this week to clean up fallen trees and help with other damage from the recent tornado that tore through the area. What a great way for our students to serve others, especially with such a timely need!

April 17, 2015

On Wednesday, our Kindergarten students lead chapel, teaching all of us about the power of God to use the mundane and ordinary for his mighty purposes.   Three trees grew up strong and tall in the woods. One wanted to be a treasure chest, another a mighty boat, and the third to be the tallest […]

Re-Discovering the English Bible

April 10, 2015

We had some special guests speak to our middle school about the English Bible. Students learned about the first translations of the Bible into English, as well as the great sacrifice and efforts people like Wycliffe and Tyndale put into making God’s word available to the common person. We have so much to be grateful […]

The Lower School chapel service included praise and worship music along with a very special message, “Reflections on Easter,” from music teacher, Kevin Pierce.  Mr. Pierce explained that Jesus died on the cross for all our sins and offers us grace from the burdens of our sins if we are willing to accept God’s gift […]

Serve Day (Maundy Thursday)

April 02, 2015

Today we remembered Maundy Thursday by serving others just as Christ served his disciples. As a 51AVÊÓƵ community we celebrate and remember the Last Supper Jesus had with his disciples on the night he was betrayed. Maundy Thursday specifically recalls how the son of God stooped to wash the feet of his disciples, and we remember […]
